Dash Rapid Egg Cooker Review: Perfect Eggs Every Time, Zero Effort

5/5
Dash Rapid Egg Cooker

The Bottom Line

Sounds gimmicky, but it genuinely makes perfect eggs with no babysitting. Great for meal preppers.

$19 - $30

I'll admit I rolled my eyes at the idea of a dedicated egg cooker. Just boil water, right? But after trying the Dash Rapid Egg Cooker at a friend's house, I was converted.

Here's the thing: it makes PERFECT eggs every single time. You fill water to the line (soft, medium, or hard boiled), add eggs, hit the button, and walk away. It beeps when done. No watching the pot, no timing, no guessing.

I meal prep on Sundays, and this little guy cooks 6 hard-boiled eggs while I'm doing other things. The eggs peel beautifully too - something about the steam cooking makes the shells release easier.

It also makes poached eggs and small omelettes with the included trays. I mainly use it for hard-boiled eggs, but the versatility is nice.

At around $25 CAD, it's not expensive, but I'd still recommend waiting for a sale. I've seen it drop to $17-19 on Amazon.ca, especially around Prime Day or holiday sales.

One tip: don't overfill the water. Follow the markings exactly, and you'll get perfect results every time. This is the epitome of a "set it and forget it" appliance.

What I Love

  • Versatile - poached eggs, omelettes too

Things to Consider

The Verdict

A little indulgent? Maybe. Worth it for egg lovers and meal preppers? Absolutely. Grab it when it's under $20.
